Frustration.

Monday, February 19, 2018 - 12:30

It's not them. It's me.

I don't give two shits about my npc or the players need to murder him.
I don't give two shits about whether I'm 'breaking rules' to let my character survive.
I don't give two shits if viewers are butt hurt about points, or whether I'm paying attention to them or not, or whether or not the game is even going well right now.

I won't accept any back talk from anyone regarding the game, or any input at this time regarding much in my life at the moment.

I'm not going to mince words, or be nice about it, but I am going to address it so...

End of the line

Too perfect

Friday saw the end of the Brightwood storyline, and the return to primary story, with Ivor attending a city council gathering.

Between Vane, Mactillian and Helbrims actions, we saw the final period to that tale put in place.

I have to say I'm pleased with the way it went. The combat wasn't especially over bearing, just doing what it needed to do.

Moving on I'm strongly looking forward to continuing the story of the West Cloud Spires expansion.

Next session we will see what the council has to say about the current affairs and as a side point, what Thunders...

Working Together, a message to my Viewership.

Tuesday, January 30, 2018 - 17:12

I appreciate my viewership and I know my viewership appreciates me, but the truth is, you might not be just a viewer.

If you're an injector, we've got a working relationship with limited communication.

Learning to work together, within a team of anonymous people of ranged values and expectations is difficult, but I'm trying because I love doing it, and I love doing it with all of you #phrasing.

Sometimes things don't work out. Sometimes things go off too early, sometimes they don't go off at all. Sometimes things can be disappointing; like when stress causes #...

Rethinking the platform

Monday, January 22, 2018 - 01:13
It's an oil platform.

I'm going to restructure the site to afford layered information with multi level permissions to allow players the ability to populate their worlds without letting every one see their intentions or plans.

Effectively I will be modularizing information population such that each piece of content is a separate piece categorizable and permission controlled.

Add a stat block to a character and set the permissions to private so only you and the game master can see them.

Add blocks of your characters history and decide which ones are public knowledge, and which ones are for...

#sorry #notsorry

As a matter of fact, it's just a game

So with every passing game, we're steadily learning.

One of my currently longest running players has decided to sit out next week.

After getting what he wanted, which was to get in close to kill a baby, Ivor made the calculated decision to snatch a baby from the church Pinnacle Garden and soared away.  Never go full gargoyle.

Though he hasn't said in asmuch, Joe enjoys his 'rivalry'...

A story ..line

What kind of story are you trying to tell?

DM Protip: Take notes of times between sessions. Chronological order is important.

We're trying to tell an epic tragedy.

I think we're doing an alright job of that so far.

How I learned to stop worrying and love the chaos.

Despite the disconnect in player schedules, I think the story line in and of itself is going in an legititimately interesting direction.

I use interesting not as that dismissived generic definition so many love throwing around, but as a term used in its truest sense.

Everything here has intrigue and interest on all fronts and if this...

Fate is woven with thick threads

Saturday, December 30, 2017 - 14:57
Everything running perfectly smoothly!

While I've given the topic a tonne of lip service, I may as well write an article about it as per usual.

Role Playing Game

I delivered a lot of exposition in a very short time span and covered a lot of bases quickly. It was dramatic, it was powerful, and I'm proud of the performance.

Too Much Story

Going to the monestary provided two out of three points. Helbrim Gother and...

Restream.io

Reach out and touch someone. With something sticky.

Yesterdays speedrun stream was a test of 'Restream.io'.

Restream is a platform for casting to multiple destinations.

So yesterday when I was streaming to Twitch, I was also streaming to Mixer, Youtube and SmashCast (formerly known as Hitbox.tv).

Tonight I intend to stream to all the other platforms as well. I'm currently in the process of signing up for nearly everything that Restream supports. I won't have the interactions with every platform, but that's alright.

Hope everyone's stoked for tonight? I know I am!

Planning and planning and planning

So I've written fve pages and I've got another left to go to address the last fight.

I've decided against doing a new intro, but I'll swap in the new graphics.  Ultimately it's to be replaced with photos and I have to fit Mitch into it too.

I have ideas for the new intro but I need to take a bunch of photos.maybe straight up footage of peoples heads and their expressions.

I will be going with a more basic premise for this Fridays game.  There's a lot of RP ground to cover as usual, but I have the direction written down for each player so I should have a...

What Dreams May Come

Monday, December 25, 2017 - 16:00
A photo of Mordred from the television series Merlin. Mordred, like the young Brightwood boy, is a powerful and feared druid boy.
Making dreams a reality.

Merry Christmas everyone :)

Here I'm able to take a moment from the festivities to write about how I feel Friday went.

For starters, while the session was a bit stunted for the seasonal effects, the overall objective was achieved.

Lack luster? Maybe, but let's dive right into it.

Mitch is back and Mitch is smart.

For starters, we have Helbrim, the Mitch controlled druid with all the smarts and capabilities he left off with and then some.

Let's talk about my elves. They didn't do a small amount of damage, and they were ferocious...
