Grungs
Grungs came to the Farseas from Chult, however the migration was performed near solely by green warriors whom were long ago thought lost to their explorations.
In fact, the Grung tribes who ventured to the Farseas found themselves fortunate, confronted with a bounty of great proportion.
Over the course of a few short decades, they would multiply and establish themselves as a formidable population not to be trifled with.
These Green Grung tribes found their leadership in the monastic and cunning Sivs who had found themselves slowly being ousted by the burgeoning humanoids and other swamp natives.
Following their faith, the Grungs have established a caste between their tribes, respectively consisting of the Everekko, the Nooripple, the Sharthorn and the Morsun.
Each of the Grung tribes ferociously holds a section of the Farseas with only Grungs and a few Sivs making up the population.
Grung tribes in the Farsea consist of the Chief, their Advisor (a Siv), the Chiefs special warriors, labourers, hunters & gatherers, scouts and general militia guarding their region.
The Farseas Grungs, like their Siv leadership, are fiercely racist against non swamp peoples, refusing to interact outright unless there is a driving interest for them.
The Siv Advisory Relationship
The connection between the Grungs and the Siv runs deeper than simple proximity or shared territory. Historically, the Sivs found themselves slowly being ousted from their traditional territories as humanoid populations and other swamp natives grew in number and confidence. In response, they identified the arriving Green Grung tribes — fierce, disciplined, and naturally resistant to outsider influence — as a people worth cultivating.
Each Grung tribal chief maintains a Siv Advisor — a Siv monk embedded within the tribe's leadership structure. These advisors hold a position of significant spiritual and tactical authority, providing the Siv with eyes, ears, and leverage throughout Grung territory while giving the Grung chiefs access to the Siv's unparalleled knowledge of swamp lore, Spirit Road protocols, and the movements of outside powers.
This advisory arrangement is not merely ceremonial. The Siv Advisor participates in council decisions, serves as intermediary in disputes involving non-Grung parties, and acts as a conduit to the Siv order's wider intelligence network. The arrangement benefits both parties: the Grungs gain prestige and protection; the Siv gain a distributed presence throughout the swamp without the exposure of maintaining visible outposts.
The Grungs' fierce insularity and racism toward non-swamp peoples aligns naturally with the Siv's preference for the swamp's autonomy over external exploitation — making them reliable, if volatile, partners in the Siv's long-running effort to guard the The Spirit Road and the integrity of the Farseas itself.
