Ironarms Inn
Ironarms Inn
The Ironarms Inn is a three-storey tavern built beneath Tidal Rock in Ariston, notable for its unusual vertical architecture and the mix of clientele it attracts from the trade roads nearby.
Layout
The ground floor provides a common room and gathering area typical of a working tavern. Above it, two balconies extend the establishment's offerings: the first hosts private offices and meeting rooms available for rent by merchants, travelers, and anyone requiring a discreet space; the second gives access to eight guest rooms spread along two lengths of an elegant wood-and-stone balcony.
Proprietor
The inn is operated by Merinda Schoris, an old, heavily built human woman who inherited the establishment from her father. Merinda is known for running a tight operation — the kind of landlady who remembers faces, asks few questions, and tolerates no nonsense.
Atmosphere
For travelers moving between Cormyr and the Farseas, the Ironarms offers a reliable stopping point that is neither cheap nor extravagant — the sort of place where the ale is honest and the walls are thick enough for private conversation.
