Chapter 5 looms over Chapter 4 and 3

A looming storm

The players like to complain about the constant barrage of opposition in the world.

I've often met this argument with the statement that they're shit disturbers, attention grabbers, and generally the centre of the story. Cause they are.

While each chapter has been so far broken up with time jumps, the next chapters may not get one as the impending story points won't permit it.

As multiple stories gain traction, the core elements are going to find foothold in those stories and we will see the next step in the story unfold.

Spoiler alert: Acererak isn't the great grand villain. How dare anyone think so. There is always a bigger fish, and I would be remiss to let the campaign die at 20.

There's still 20 levels of advancement after that in deity boons.

The story will continue through level 20, and I will have my work cut out for me in continuing to create meaningful and challenging encounters.

I am excited for the next two to three months as it will represent the players advancement through their final levels.

2-3 months also means I have to start handing out like 10k experience per session so folks can do it in 3 months as opposed to the typical 6k which would mean 6 months.

It's been a long campaign from level 1, two years ago and I want to get to the battle I have in mind.

The players had a taste of the oddyssey (ed: intentional misspelling) I'm aiming to get to.

I warn my players who may be reading this: You're gonna fuckin' wish it was a time travel story.
