So the game starts out, Mitch arrives and immediately he's excited to continue with his plan from last session. Let's go get those slick ships in the pocket dimension from that guy with the chromed dudes.
Players arrive and Paul isn't able to attend (get better brother!), and this perturbs Joe who had great intentions.
Cue my exposition. Half an hour later, I've explained through dream sequences and role play that all sides are interested in what Myrkhul wants, which is the chunk of his soul trapped in gem rock.
Myrkhul is drawn to it and knows its location but can't get to it without the power of physical flight. In short, the stone absorbs and cancels out any magic that occurs within a 100 miles of it. It's also hanging in the sky like an errant star.
The gods Kelemvor and Velsharoon approach Anubis and Anubis tells them his champion can handle it. Rodriguez has himself a dream of absorbing the soul and becoming a higher powr. Fyo doesn't give a fuck and has Rod renounce Myrkhul then hands him over to Carrick (McFartyPants) to be trained as a disciple of Oghma. Grevien is told by Myrkhul that 'we need a ship and possibly the crew. Guess we'll need your friends after all.'
Cue three hours of player in fighting and banter, wierd cloak and dagger bits as players try to jockey for position until finally, they take to the skies with a common goal! Wait, no, nobody really communicated despite three hours of back and forth.. and now everyone's going their separate ways!?
Oh noes!
So Grevien (Curtis) and Myrkhul stay behind while everyone else boards the Rolling Thunder and takes to the skies heading for a volcanic mote some months travel away. Wait, what? Yep; nobody confirmed if Grevien was coming or not.
So what happens? Grevien takes the Fist and fucks off towards Myrkhul's goal and Curtis rolls a new character to join in the players quest for ships.
Now, there would be some role play and politicking for the soul stone, but given that the players are a month out from the soul stone's location, or a week if they were to take one of Draxus' ships I can leave it up to votes on the site and play a montage, maybe throw an encounter in to make the situation. Once the dust settles, maybe Grevien comes back to the collective or maybe Padfoot sticks around.
Personally, I think Curtis plays a wicked rogue.
During the stream, Johnny Speed raised the idea of personalities for the XP Fairy, going so far as to email me a list of personalities.

Given I'd have to code a basic framework and then the scripts, commands and responses, don't expect anything anytime soon. It is food for thought though, and as a result I started digging into other bots, like Deepbot, Nightbot, etc.
The features these bots have are impressive to put it mildly. I considered, what if I integrate Nightbot (it's free after all) as a purveyor of those familiar features such as song requests, etc?
Anyhow, I've got to get back to work, but I'd love to read any thoughts anyone has on what should come next. Also, I'm curious which of the above folks prefer.. but I haven't set up polls on my site, so comment or something I guess.
