The Mirelords

The Mirelords

The Mirelords are the six warlords who rose to prominence in the Farseas following the civil war sparked by the death of Lucien Kropus and the collapse of the Kropus commercial empire. Each has carved a fiefdom from the chaos, and together they define the political landscape of the No Heroes arc.

The name "Mirelord" carries no official title — it was coined by travelers and traders trying to describe who, functionally, holds what territory in a region where no central government exists and Cormyrean extraterritorial claims are bitterly contested.

The Six

Lady Vassk — Rules from Drulmire Hollow. Her domain centers on dreamspore cultivation: rare fungal growths with psychic properties that have made her operation the most lucrative trade venture in the current civil war era. Her buyers include everyone from alchemists to intelligence services.

Gorhul "the Mirehand" — Commands from Usketh, a floating fortress. His agenda is mercenary control of trade routes through the swamp. Every merchant who wants safe passage through Gorhul's territory pays for it.

Thessala — Operates from the Verdant Chamber, a treetop enclave. Her mission is the protection of the wounded Swamp Gods in the aftermath of the The Iron Garden arc's etheric bomb. She is the Mirelord most likely to cooperate with players who care about the swamp's spiritual integrity.

Glent Orshin — Controls the Flith Fen territory with the specific goal of monopolizing Irungarten technology. He wants to acquire, replicate, or simply capture enough Irungarten industrial infrastructure to build a competing power base.

Mother Tyra — Operates from the Bleaktongue Dens. Her mission is the protection of outcasts and war-orphans: those displaced by the civil war who have nowhere else to go. She is not a warrior by preference but has become one by necessity.

Carrsack (the Overfather) — Rules from the Cathedral Barge. The Suh'Skel's political and religious leader. His agenda is native sovereignty; his method is the threat of genocide. He is the most ideologically rigid of the six and the most dangerous to peace.

Parallel Campaign Thread

The No Heroes arc includes a parallel campaign strand where players operate as contractors for various Mirelords — giving multiple simultaneous factional entry points and making the civil war feel genuinely complex rather than a binary conflict.
